Nama GANEVO sendiri di ambil dari jaman ORLA pd masa era SOEKARNO, yaitu "GANEFO" yg merupakan sekumpulan/perhimpunan negara2 Blok Timur ( komunis ). GANEFO di gembar-gemborkan oleh SOEKARNO di INDONESIA, namun nama ini kemudian juga di jadikan nama pekan olahraga nasional INDONESIA pd masa itu, Di sinilah baru terjadi keunikan dan kekacauan....Pada masa itu kondisi INDONESIA dalam keadaan terpuruk, menderita, kelaparan merajalela.Sehingga sebagian besar masyarakat INDONESIA menyebut jaman itu menjadi jaman "GANEFO". Sebuah era awal kehancuran, kebobrokan, kekacauan dan sangat korup sekali!!!! kemudian dari situ kami berfikir untuk ber EVOLUSI, karena masa itu hampir sama dengan keadaan kita sekarang ini. EVOLUSI untuk menjadikan jaman sekarang ini menjadi sebuah harapan indah dengan kehidupan rakyat yang makmur & damai. EVOLUSI untuk merubah secara cepat keadaan ibu pertiwi yg sedang sekarat.... sehingga terbentuklah "GANEVO" yaitu Ganefo Evolution yang akan menjadi wadah untuk menuangkan semua aspirasi untuk di sampaikan secara musikilitas dengan sebuah harapan bersama-sama membangun bangsa dg lebih baik... GANEVO terbentuk pada pertengahan tahun 2005, di kota kecil, panas, kumuh, dan serba CHAOS, Tepatnya di daerah perbatasan jawatengah & jawabarat bernama BREBES.Sejak awal berdiri GANEVO berkonsep THRASH METAL melodic humanis yg ber-amunisikan ( DANY/voice, KURD/drum, JACKY/guitar, BONANK/bass ). GANEVO sempat vakum selama 1 tahun karena kesibukan para personilnya. Kemudian DANY/voice hijrah ke kota METAL bernama PURWOKERTO. Pd tahun 2007, GANEVO ter-reinkarnasi kembali di kota CADAS itu.Dengan formasi baru,GANEVO jga mempunyai konsep baru dengan seiring bergabungnya FAIZHALS (jrangkonk)dengan menjadi OLD SCHOOL HARDCORE, sekarang GANEVO mempunyai formasi baru yg di isi oleh ( DANY/voice, HELIX/bass, FAYZHALS/guitar, ZOYA/guitar, SWARASTIKA/drum ). Dalam formasi ini Menghasilkan demo beberapa lagu yang bertemakan politik, sosial dan ketidakadilan antara lain: Lawan atau Terjajah, Perang Kelamin, Terisolasi, Dosa Rezim, dan Salam Pengkhianat. Pada awal pertengahan tahun 2009, SWARASTIKA (drumer) mengundurkan diri karena kesibukannya. Dan kini di isi additional drum oleh TOMMY (against).
