7 seconds is an American rock band from Reno, Nevada. Formed in 1980 by brothers Kevin Seconds and Steve Youth, they played their first show on March 2, 1980. His latest album is Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over!. 7 Seconds today remains the longest life as a hardcore punk band in history. Over the years the band has been lumped with other bands as "straight edge" or "posi-core", but 7 seconds of the members have never adopted the label, either for themselves, their music or their lyrics.
